Arsenal vs Norwich LIVE – latest updates

Mikel Arteta’s side are clinging to hopes of a top-six finish while the Canaries are caught in a downward spiral

Mikel Arteta’s side are in better spirits after back-to-back wins against Southampton and Sheffield United, while Bukayo Saka’s new long-term contract has resolved one of the club’s lingering issues. However, hopes of a place in Europe next season are still looking slim, with the Gunners trailing sixth-placed Wolves by nine points heading into the fixture.

The picture is far bleaker for rock-bottom Norwich, though, with Daniel Farke’s side seemingly all but resigned to relegation from the Premier League. The Canaries have lost three games in succession since football’s resumption and are seven points adrift of safety heading into the fixture.

It would be extraordinary if we avoid relegation, but after you draw against United in 90 minutes with a good performance, it shows you’re capable against every team.

We have to be good in many details and develop our performances step by step. I was pleased that we came back to equalise against United.

We have to work on our efficiency, to be more clinical and use our chances more, but also to go on with the same defensive solidity we’ve had in the last two games.
