The Odisha government has imposed a 14-day lockdown to stop the spread of COVID-19. This lockdown has started today. According to the state government, emergency services will be allowed during this period. Vegetable and grocery shops, hospitals or airports or other transport facilities have been allowed to open from 6 am to 12 am. The government has also allowed all the restaurants in the state to remain open during lockdown, but these services only Food is limited to take home.
Here, the Assam government has also decided to impose night curfew from Wednesday to prevent the movement of people in public places to prevent the spread of corona in the state. It will be effective from six o’clock in the evening and will continue till the next order. The government issued an order in this regard on Tuesday.
The order was issued by the Assam State Disaster Authority Chairman and State Chief Secretary Jishanu Barua after reviewing the current situation of the corona in the state. He directed that complete ban will be in force from 6 in the evening to five in the morning and the District Magistrate and the Commissioner of Police of Guwahati will issue orders under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in this regard.
A night curfew was imposed in the state on April 27 till May 1, which was extended for seven more days on April 30. Essential and contingency services and police have been kept out of this.
