The Italian coast guard found the carcass of a huge whale in Sorrento harbor, Tengrinews.kz reports with reference to the local portal La Stampa.

“In the middle of the night, complex operations were completed to retrieve and transport a minke whale found in the waters of the port of Sorrento,” the statement said.
The whale carcass was delivered to the port of Naples with the help of two patrol boats. After an examination that will help determine the cause of his death, the skeleton is planned to be transferred to the museum.
Earlier, more than a hundred small whales were stranded on the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan military, together with local residents, were able to return most of the marine life to the water.
