Chennai: With coronavirus cases increasing at an alarming rate in Tamilnadu the State government today issued many guidelines.
From 10 April retail vegetable shops in Koyambedu wholesale market will be closed.
Sources said the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is likely to introduce stricter curbs to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
GCC Commissioner G Prakash recently expressed confidence that with the newer and more stringent curbs the number of Covid-19 cases in the city can be brought under control by the end of April.
For a little over a month Tamilnadu has been registering a surge in fresh coronavirus infections.
