The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 9,227 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country on Wednesday April 21st.
The DOH case bulletin also showed 19,699 new recoveries, indicating the Total recoveries increased to 829,608.
Of the 116,434 active cases, according to the DOH, 96.7 percent were mild, 1.4 percent asymptomatic, 0.6 percent critical, 0.8 percent severe, and 0.52 percent moderate.The health department said that 26 duplicates were removed from the total number of cases, and 14 of them were recoveries.
« In addition, 36 cases previously flagged as recoveries were classified as deaths after final validation, » said DOH.
The health department announced that one laboratory was down on April 19, 2021, while 8 laboratories could not submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).
