The Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors are playing Saturday night at the Chase Center.
The Houston Rockets have been in a big slump as they lost 28 of their last 31 games and they hope to get back on their feet after being routed by the Clippers in a road loss of 126-109 last night. Christian Wood led the team with 23 points in nine of 15 shots, Jae’Sean Tate added 18 points, Sterling Brown scored 15 points, while Kevin Porter Jr. filled in with 14 points and 13 assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 47 percent off the field and 12 percent out of 37 percent from the 3-point line as they jumped an early double-digit lead after 36 points in the first quarter before being completely blown out in the second quarter at 41-10 to leave up to 23 points behind. The Rockets just had no answer for the Clippers duo of Reggie Jackson and Kawhi Leonard, who together scored 57 points.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in tough shape lately as they have eight of their last ten Lost games. They hope to get back on their feet after being narrow in a 110-107 home defeat to the Wizards last night. Stephen Curry led the team with 32 points and five assists, Kelly Oubre Jr. added 23 points, while James Wiseman scored 18 points on nine of eleven shots. As a team, the Warriors shot 46 percent off the field and 11 percent out of 36 percent from the 3-point line as they recovered from an early 12-point deficit and were only 19.5 seconds ahead of three points seeing the game slide away as the Wizards’ Bradley Beal scored the next six points to escape with the win.
Looking at the betting trends, the Rockets are in their last five games with 4: 1 ATS in zero rest days, 4: 9 ATS in their last 13 street games and 17: 38 ATS in their last 55 games overall. The Warriors are 6-22-1 ATS in their last 29 games playing on zero rest days, and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games total. Head to head, who is under 7-3 in the last 10 sessions in Golden State and the Rockets are 5-2 ATS in the last seven sessions in Golden State.
The Rockets have had problems all season and will kick themselves after being blown out by the Clippers last night even though they got off to a hot start. The warriors haven’t been doing their best lately and their confidence has hurt their loss against the wizards. It’s hard to be confident in supporting both teams, but you have to imagine that sooner rather than later, the warriors are going to change things. This should get close, but I’m sticking with the warriors to get back on track with a much-needed victory.
