Ruthuraj Gaikwad played another disappointing innings as he started the innings with Fop du Plessis. Ruthuraj conceded just 10 runs. Fop du Plessis then scored 33 off 17 balls while Moeen Ali scored 26.
Suresh Raina (18), Ambati Rayudu (27), MS Dhoni (18), Ravindra Jadeja (8), San Karan (13) and Shardul Thakur (1) were all out. Eventually Dwayne Bravo scored 20 off 8 balls to increase the total to 188.
Most players managed to perform average, despite not having a big partnership with Chennai Super Kings. This is because the team is able to deliver a challenging goal to the opponent.
Chetan Zakaria was a great success for Rajasthan Royals. He has taken 3 for 36 in four overs. Chris Modis picked up two wickets while Musfizur Rahman and Rahul Tevati took 1 wicket each.
