Moving other patients elsewhere
Mumbai: The number of corona patients in Mumbai is increasing and the demand for beds in private hospitals has also increased. Therefore, the Corporation has decided to convert Jaslok Hospital at Pedder Road in South Mumbai into a complete Corona Hospital. Therefore, patients other than corona will no longer be admitted to this hospital. In addition to the existing corona, other patients will also be shifted to other hospitals. The process will be completed by Saturday morning.
In the early days of Corona’s infection, Jaslok Hospital treated Corona patients very well. Therefore, at the time of the second wave, the municipality has decided to give this hospital the status of a complete corona hospital. In this regard, the municipality has given instructions to the management of Jaslok Hospital. Because of this process
There will be an increase of 250 beds for Corona patients. It includes 40 beds in the intensive care unit.
Increase in the number of beds
Seven Hills Hospital has also been upgraded to 30 intensive care units, while the Corona Grand Center at Nesco in Goregaon will have 1,500 more beds in the next seven days. All these beds will have oxygen facility, the municipal administration has said.
Instructions to management
* In the next two days, non-coronary patients should be sent home.
* Patients other than those in urgent need of medical treatment should be shifted to a nearby hospital in the next 48 hours.
* Patient’s planned surgery should be postponed.
* A separate ward should be set up for corona suspected patients.
