New Delhi: Ekadashi fast is considered as the best among all the fasts. Although there is one Ekadashi in each month’s Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha, but each has its own separate significance. The month of Magh is considered highly pious and virtuous anyway and if the Hindu Panchang is believed, then Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Magh month is known as Jaya Ekadashi. Today, Jaya Ekadashi fast will be observed on Tuesday, 23 February 2021. Ekadashi day is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the patron of creation, and it is believed that fasting and worshiping Lord Vishnu on this day destroys all kinds of sins of the person, eliminates poverty, happiness at home – There is peace and the person is saved from being born in the vagina of ghosts. – It is believed that by eating rice on Ekadashi, a person is born in the vagina of a creeping organism, so should not eat rice without forgetting on this day.
On the day of Ekadashi, one should observe moderation and sattvikta in food and behavior. Brahmacharya should be completely followed.
On the day of Jaya Ekadashi, neither gram or gram flour should be eaten. Eating honey should also be avoided.
– Ekadashi date is considered very auspicious among all dates. To get the benefit of this day, do not say harsh words to anyone, avoid fighting.
On the day of Ekadashi one should wake up early in the morning and should not even sleep in the evening. Apart from this, neither anger nor falsehood should be given on this day.

On the day of Jaya Ekadashi, bathing before sunrise in the morning, worshiping Lord Vishnu with full rituals should be done with a pure heart. Prasad, Tulsi water, fruits, coconut, incense sticks and flowers should be offered to the deities. Narayan Stotra and Vishnu Sahasranama should be recited. On this day, the people must donate. Fasting of Ekadashi brings wealth, honor, respect, good health, knowledge, child happiness and family happiness in life.
