Kishanganj The team of RPF and GRP arrested ten Rohingya Muslims on the last Hudhwar at New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal adjoining Kishanganj district of Bihar. The Rohingyas caught include 3 men, two women and pant children. All of them were in a spin to dodge but due to the readiness of the train superintendent, they have been arrested. All of them escaped from the Kutupalang camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. On Wednesday, 02501 Agartala-New Gilli Rajdhani Special train has been caught.
CPRO Shubhanan Chandra of NF Railway said that the train superintendent on duty of 02501 Agartala-New Delhi Rajdhani Special train was checking tickets after boarding the train at Guwahati station. While checking the tickets and the identity cards of the passengers, they suspected some passengers traveling in the B7 coach of the train. The train superintendent sent a memo to the suspected passengers for proper investigation by the police officer.
Based on the memo, the RPF and GRP team of New Jalpaiguri conducted an investigation when the train reached New Jalpaiguri in the afternoon. During investigation, it was found that these 3 men, 2 women and 5 children were traveling as suspicious citizens. He was then taken off the train at Jalpaiguri station and an investigation was started.
During interrogation, he said that they are from Rohingya community and boarded the train from Agartala station on 11 January. They entered Sonamura in India from Comilla in Bangladesh on 10 January. Those people have boarded the train with the help of an agent.
