NBC analyst Bob Mackenzie shares his thoughts on the recovery of Washington Capitals goalkeeper Henrik Lundqvist after heart surgery.
“Lundqvist had surgery last Wednesday at a clinic in Cleveland. I think he will be discharged from the hospital in the next 24 hours. Doctors believe that the valve and aortic surgery he underwent was successful.
Now people will be wondering: can he play hockey again? As I said, the overall outlook was overwhelmingly positive. I believe Henrik Lundqvist wants to come back and play next season in the NHL. Everything will be decided in the future.
Now everyone is just happy that King Henrik had a good surgery, is recovering and will be discharged from the hospital the next day or so, ”Mackenzie quoted RMNB.com as saying.
