New Zealand veteran opener Martin Guptill has broken a big record of Rohit Sharma of India in the matter of sixes. Martin Guptill has now become the highest sixes batsman in T20 Internationals and in this case he has overtaken Rohit Sharma.
Martin Guptill played a tremendous innings in the second T20 match against Australia. Guptill scored 97 runs off just 50 balls with the help of 6 fours and 8 sixes and missed his century by just 3 runs. During this time, he overtook Rohit Sharma in the matter of maximum sixes.

Martin Guptill now has 132 sixes in 96 T20 matches. Rohit Sharma has hit 127 sixes in 108 matches. England’s limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan is third on the list with 113 sixes. New Zealand opener Colin Munro is fourth with 107 sixes and West Indies explosive batsman Chris Gayle is at fifth position with 105 sixes. Although Gayle has played only 58 T20 Internationals, this shows how far ahead he is in terms of average. According to the news, Chris Gayle is going to return to the West Indies team after a long time.
Martin Guptill returned to form after a long time. He made his last T20 half-century in November 2019. He had not scored a half-century in 12 innings since then. He completed his half-century off just 27 balls and then batted more. The Australian team finally lost by 4 runs.
