Yes, Metro service will be closed at some stations on Republic Day. According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), this decision has been taken for security reasons.

On Republic Day 2021, services of Delhi Metro will be partially disrupted. Under this, four stations around Rajpath will remain closed in the morning. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said that the Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan metro station, Patel chowk metro station and Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station were on 26 January. Will be closed in the morning.

In addition to partially closing these stations, DMRC has decided to close parking. Parking at all these stations will also be closed from 6 am on 25 January to 2 pm on 26 January. DMRC has tweeted, ‘Entry and exit at these stations will be closed for some time on 26 January 2021. Train changing facility will be available at the Central Secretariat Metro Station. Parking facility will be closed from 6 am on 25 January to 2 pm on 26 January. ‘

Entry/exit to the following stations will remain closed for a short period on 26th January 2021. Interchange shall be available at Central Secretariat.
