Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand hinted at a desire to join the Mancunian club’s coaching staff if offered.
“Yes, of course, I would be interested in that. Look, I love Manchester United, it’s simple. Do you understand what I mean? You move to Manchester United and have played there for more than 12 years – you cannot help falling in love with this club. So I would definitely discuss the possibility of working in a club in any role, because I love the club.
What role it will be, I don’t know, but if the opportunity presented itself, yes, I would definitely be open to negotiations and attempts to come to some kind of agreement, ”Ferdinand said on the Stretford Paddock podcast.
Recall that the coaching staff of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who played for Manchester United himself, includes former club players Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher.
Ferdinand has won the Premier League 6 times with Manchester United, won the Champions League (2007/08) and the World Club Championship (2008).
