Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has once again attacked the former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi. Pinarayi Vijayan questioned Rahul Gandhi’s silence even after the Congress lost power in several states. He said that the Congress has lost power in states and union territories like Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Puducherry in the recent past, but Rahul Gandhi is not talking about it.
Pinarayi Vijayan also wanted to know why Rahul is not going to the states where the Congress is directly facing the BJP. Vijayan questioned, ‘Rahul Gandhi is a prominent leader of the Congress party. Is he going to the state where the Congress is directly facing the BJP? What role did he play in Goa, Manipur, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and recently in Puducherry? ‘ He asked, ‘Why is Rahul Gandhi silent about these states? Why is Congress national leader Rahul Gandhi refraining from going to places where his party is in direct competition with the BJP?

Pinarayi Vijayan sarcastically described Rahul Gandhi as a ‘Good Tourist’ and said that his travel to Kerala would give a boost to the tourism industry of the state.
Earlier Pinarayi Vijayan had held the Congress responsible for anti-farmer policies since the 1990s and said, ‘Farmers in India were motivated to commit suicide. Therefore, Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the farmers. Millions of farmers have lost their blood in the Congress rule. On behalf of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the farmers unconditionally.
The Election Commission has announced the election dates in five states, including Kerala. In one phase elections will be held on 140 assembly seats of Kerala (Kerala Assembly Election 2021) and voting on all the seats of the state will be held on 6 April. Votes will be counted on 2 May.
