A man from the Victoria region who went missing while snorkeling off the coast of South Australia was reportedly killed by a shark.
This morning, police discovered a damaged wetsuit and fins believed to have belonged to the 32nd Year olds were among when they searched for water on Surfers Way near Port Macdonnell in the lower southeast of the state.
It comes after a shark was discovered by a police helicopter in the area Thursday.
« Tragically the police suspect that the Victorian man was the victim of a shark attack, « said the SA police in a statement.
The police were contacted on Thursday after the disappearance of the man and started a search carried out by SES- Crews, Fisheries SA and local volunteers.
The air and sea search is now being scaled back and the police will prepare a report for the coroner.
