Decree No. 70 approved the building codes « Natural and artificial lighting ». These standards establish requirements for the design of natural and artificial lighting of premises of newly erected and reconstructed buildings and structures for various purposes, places of work outside buildings, sites of industrial and agricultural enterprises, railway tracks at enterprises, as well as outdoor lighting of cities, urban-type settlements and rural populations. points. They apply to the design of local lighting devices supplied complete with machines, machines and industrial furniture, and do not apply to the design of lighting for underground workings, river ports, airfields, railway stations and their tracks, sports facilities, premises for storing agricultural products, placing plants, animals. , birds, as well as for the design of special technological and security lighting when using technical means of protection.
By Decree No. 85, the high-rise buildings construction standards were approved. They apply to erected and reconstructed high-rise residential and public buildings and establish requirements for their design.
These building codes were developed by the RUE « Stroytekhnorm » and introduced by the main department of urban planning, design, scientific, technical and innovation policy of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction. The norms will come into effect 60 calendar days after their official publication.
As reported, currently Belarus is working on reforming legislation in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction. According to presidential decree No. 217
of June 5, 2019, new types of technical normative legal acts will be introduced: building codes, which include requirements in the field of safety of buildings and structures intended for mandatory application, as well as building rules that provide ways to achieve building codes.
The Ministry of Architecture and Construction notes that building codes and regulations comply with European standards. They will improve the quality of design documentation and the efficiency of construction, optimally combine traditional and progressive designs, products, advanced technologies with mandatory compliance with safety standards.
