Two people were hospitalized after a gas explosion in a house in North Lanarkshire.
The surrounding properties were evacuated as a precaution after two fire engines were dispatched to Cedars Grove in Bargeddie just after 6 a.m. this morning.
The woman has since been taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries and the man has been released.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: « We responded to an incident in Bargeddie, North Lanarkshire, at 6am. 10 am.
She said, « Emergency services were called to Cedars Grove, Bargeddie at around 6am. Sunday 22nd. November 25th, after a report of a gas explosion on a property.
« A 39-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were brought to Monklands University Hospital. The man was treated and released.
« The woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow with serious injuries. Neighboring properties were evacuated as a precaution.
The moderation takes place on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. full-time and outside these times part-time.
