The payment dates for Universal Credit will change in the next month according to the holidays.
Universal credit payments are usually made on the same day each month, but dates change due to Christmas.
With December only a few weeks away, this could affect a number of applicants. So it’s important to be aware of this.
If a Universal Loan payment date falls on a public holiday, the payment will likely be modified and paid the first business day before it.
For those whose payment dates are either on the 25th. or the 28. December fall, payment is made the first working day before.
Scotland also has the same public holidays, but there will also soon be one that applicants should know about. St.. Andrew’s Day on 30. November.
If your payment does not arrive on time, you can call the Universal Credit hotline immediately.
The number is 0800 328 5644 and the lines are open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.. All calls are free and the line is closed on public holidays.
