This is how every Bluebirds player rates the clash with the Sky Blues in St. Andrews
Banned his demons from The Den last weekend in order to present themselves well. Collected crosses, stopped shots from a distance and rescued sharply to deny Jordan Shipley from close range.
Guilty of losing possession a few times and getting out of position several times. Attempts to atone for mistakes with his pace and sportiness but Cardiff is exposed on this side.
He barely lost a foot in the first half, but was far too soft to allow Tyler Walker to score. A player of his caliber will be disappointed.
Very good in the air at St. Andrew’s. Did really well using his pace and athleticism to negate the counterattack threat.
Has been on top form lately but may have been a little calmer against Coventry. Had to deal with tricky Ryan Giles all evening and did so well.
Its delivery in the box continues to be one of the biggest threats to Cardiff, but its distribution was a little different against the Sky Blues. Played a really sloppy pass that Shipley almost allowed.
Looked like City’s most likely goalscorer for the most part and was busy and shot away. But played a sad pass to get Tyler Walker through.
Fought to really gain a foothold early on, but as he got more involved, he started to find those little pockets with space. In the second half, however, it faded a lot and some passes were misplaced.
A new position for him that plays through the middle and shows off some nice lightning bolts and skillful touches. Picked up some good areas but didn’t affect the game as much as he would have liked.
Received the ball with a cool first touch all night in difficult areas, but its deliveries to the box just need to be a little crunchier. Addicted in the second half.
«. Very few clear opportunities were offered to him.
Sheyi Ojo (for Hoilett 59) 5 – Was introduced to change the game but struggled to make an impact.
Robert Glatzel (on for Murphy 59) 5 – A number of passes misplaced and really struggled to get to decent areas.
Will Vaulks (continue for pack 67) 6 – Actually brought some energy and moved forward to the city attack.
